Dr. Barry Wheeler, Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Barry Wheeler is a licensed naturopathic doctor in the states of Washington and California. He opened Vue Wellness Center in Bellevue, WA after visiting during an Applied Kinesiology Seminar which he helps organize. He loves the Seattle area and is really enjoying providing unique holistic medical services.

Dr. Wheeler was born in Portland, Oregon where he learned that it truly can “rain all the time.” Most of his youth he lived in the mountains to the East of Portland and gained a very profound appreciation for the flora and fauna of this area.

His father has been a chiropractor and owner of a supplement company providing him many beneficial experiences. He has had his neck adjusted hundreds of times so he knows how a good neck adjustment should feel. Working with his father and other Chiropractors he has developed a very gentle touch.

After high school he attended Oregon State University, majoring in Biology and International Studies. There he received numerous awards, including Magna Cum Laude and Robert R. Poole Scholarship for Pre-medical Students. He has traveled extensively in Latin America studying Spanish and herbal medicine.

His interest in nutrition was peaked after reading the book ‘Nourishing Traditions,’ by Sally Fallon after which he spent several months working with researchers in the Linus Pauling Institute studying ascorbic acid and reactive oxygen species.

Naturopathic medicine was an easy choice for graduate education because of his background in herbal medicine, nutrition and strong desire to help suffering people. Due to his strong desire to be a clinician Dr. Wheeler’s first choice was the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM).

After his rigorous undergraduate education, matriculation into NCNM was easy. NCNM provided the basic education that every clinician needs but Dr. Barry knew that to really help you in the most holistic way he would need holistic integrative systems to bridge the gaps between all the therapies.

At NCNM he studied herbal medicine, homeopathy, clinical nutrition, physical medicine, and bio-identical hormones. Using the systems of Applied Kinesiology and Functional Blood Chemistry he is able to provide holistic treatments that are highly targeted at the weakest points in your body.

Applied Kinesiology and Functional Blood Chemistry can be highly effective therapeutic systems. By interning with, taking seminars from, and observing experts in these fields Dr. Wheeler has more diagnostic approaches and treatments that can be used practically in a clinical setting achieving.
