There are a number of special lab tests I have been trained to do. The great thing about these lab tests is that we can figure out how your body is functioning. Even if we find no disease we can still improve your body’s function.
For example, if your energy is low we may want to order an Adrenal Stress Index. This will tell us about your stress response, insulin levels, gluten antibodies, and even some hormone levels. We get a lot of information from this test and after we do a treatment we expect to see a major change.
Another condition that I almost always test for in women is Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroid. This is the number one cause of hypothryoidism in women and it often goes undiagnosed or poorly treated because most doctors have no tools to treat it. I have a lot of ways to balance this condition.
Your first appointment will typically be something like this:
- You arrive at my office at the Skyline Tower, 10900 Northeast 4th Street, Suite 2300, Bellevue, WA 98004 with all your paper work filled out.
- Also, you can arrive 30 minutes early and fill it out in the reception area.
- My receptionist will give you a glass of water before we meet.
- We review your case.
- Talk about your past medical history.
- Consider what labs we may want to order.
- Begin Treatment.
The reason I ask so many questions in the paperwork and when we first meet is because I want to make sure we are clear about your expectations, what your main concerns are, and be able to tell you right away what I can do for you.
The first appointment is about 1.5 hours and the first half hour is usually questions and physical exams. Unless we need to order labs or x-rays before starting treatment, we will begin treating you using Applied Kinesiology right away. We may still order labs so we can track your progress.
